The Water Walkers - Teens & Tweens
CrossPoint's Life Group for children aged 10 or older, was formed with the goals of strengthening our children's faith, establishing their unity with the church, and creating an atmosphere of discipleship. The name Water Walkers refers to the passage in Matthew 14 where Jesus called on the apostle Peter to step out of the boat in faith and walk to Him. The philosophy behind much of what we do is based on Christ's commands in Matthew 22 to "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind," and to "love your neighbor as yourself. "
Water Walkers meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00pm at Mont Blanc Academy on Londonderry Turnpike in Hooksett. Primarily a discussion and activity group, leaders challenge the kids to explore their faith and relationships with the Holy Trinity and with people in their daily lives. The children have established a group covenant and have participated in activities such as creating a time capsule and journaling. The group has a movie or game night once per month. Friends from outside Crosspoint are always welcome.
Outside of the group, our kids participate in activities within the community such as Hooksett Old Home Day, park outreach, and a Christmas craft fair to raise funds for a local family. Contact - Pete 502-4713 and refer to the calendar on the homepage for upcoming Water Walker events.
