Men
". . .let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. "
~ Hebrews 12:1, NLT
When God created men, He didn't create us to live without Him and He didn't create us to live passive lives. Unfortunately today, men often choose to do both and easily explain their struggles away. While not specifically speaking to men, the writer of Hebrews issued a challenge that men of the 21st century can accept - to throw off our chains, return to a righteous relationship with the Lord, and to live the life He called us to live. As Paul explained in 1 Corinthians 9, we should run the race to win!
The Men's group of CrossPoint church strives to bring our men closer together in brotherhood and fellowship and to assist them in running that race. Several of the men participate regularly in ministries within our church such as intercessory prayer, worship, community outreach and set-up/breakdown and some have led groups within the Hope and Freedom Ministries, which are our relationship and spiritual healing ministries. In order to further provide increased opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship, some of the initiatives to be offered will include men's discipleship training, guy's outings, and inter-church fellowship.
